We’re humbled to share the completion of our latest project — rebuilding a safe roof over the home of a courageous single mother and her two children in a rural village in Polonnaruwa. 💛

Five years ago, her husband left, and since then, she has carried the weight of motherhood alone. She earns a modest living selling homegrown greens at the local market — doing everything she can to provide for her little family.

But life has not been gentle.

Their clay-built home was severely damaged by heavy rains. Walls cracked, the roof collapsed, and this family of three was left with nothing but a temporary shelter made from aluminum sheets hurriedly put together by kind neighbors. 💔
Every night, they slept under fear of storms and wild animals — with no security, no comfort, and no peace.

That changed because of you. 🌤️

With the generosity of our donors, the compassion of local villagers, and the dedication of our onsite volunteer teams, we rebuilt a new roof over their block house — a safe structure with strong walls and a proper foundation.

It is modest.
It is simple.
But it is safe — and filled with hope.

Today, this mother no longer worries about rain pouring onto her children while they sleep. Her little ones have a home to study, to grow, and to dream.
