Department of Anesthesia - Ragama Teaching Hospital: Urgent Medicine: DONATION (16) COMPLETION

We successfully completed another handover of urgent out-of-stock medicine today with donations from birthday cash gifts and donations. The donation was acknowledged by Dr. Liyanage Ranaweera (Director - Teaching Hospital Ragama) in the presence of Dr. Nilmini Wijesuriya who coordinated the effort from the hospital end and Fellow administration and doctors of the hospital.

Despite the fuel shortages and many other difficulties, raise Sri Lanka committee member Thushan Gunasekara attended the event representing the charity. Kudos to our multiple different suppliers for arranging for quick deliveries as resources permit and our internal volunteer Chushani Samarathunga Welagedara for her great coordination efforts for this initiative.

It has become challenging to ensure that the medicine reaches the hospital in time or even if it can be sent at all due to fuel shortages and sourcing delays. But we stand proud of our volunteer base who have gotten stronger and gone that extra mile to make things happen. Thank you!
