We managed to successfully complete the first $5 Friday campaign by donating 20,000 maternity pads to Castle Street Hospital for Women!
The hospital was out of stock of sanitary pads especially needed after cesarean deliveries.
The donation was acknowledged by Dr. Saman Kumara (Consultant Neonatologist) in the presence of Dr. Pradeep Wijesinghe (Director - Castle Street Hospital for Women) , Dr Shakaya Deshapriya (Registrar),
Ms Deepa (Cheif Pharmacist) and Matron of the hospital.
Our Raise Sri Lanka volunteer Chushani Samarathunga Welagedara coordinated the efforts while representing the charity.
Once again a big thank you for all donors who contributed to collect enough funds for the donation within such a short time period.
