General Hospital Colombo : Urgent Medical Donations (1) 2022

DONATION (1) UPDATE: MEDICINE FOR Cardio-thoracic Intensive Care unit, general Hospital

Today we are happy to announce that we have completed the first handoff of the following medicine to the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit of National Hospital of Sri Lanka!

Dr. Kumara Wickremasinghe (Director NHSL), Dr. Samiddhi Samarakone (Deputy Director NHSL), Dr. Kumudini Ranatunga (Senior Consultant Cardio-thoracic Anaesthesiologist & Intensivist), Dr. Eranga Abewardana (Acting consultant Anesthetist) and sisters of the Cardio Thoracic Intensive care unit attended the event.

Special thanks to our SL volunteer Chushani Samarathunga Welagedara who coordinated this effort with local suppliers and doctors to complete the donation to the hospital. And for our Sri Lanka Committee representative Neranjan Dissanayake for representing Raise Sri Lanka at the hand-off.

We are grateful to each one of you, who trusted and donated in various means for this cause through our FB fundraiser! Thank you! We have attached the quotes, bank slips, and invoices for your reference.

The director of NHSL profusely thanked all of you for your efforts in helping Sri Lanka in this hour of need. He further stated that the donation will benefit needy patients and will be utilized in the best possible manner and we genuinely hope it does.
