Shenal's B'day Fundraiser for computer for illupipukanniya School

Shenal Dedduwakumara, Thank you for your Birthday fundraiser to get together with your wife Ashini, good friends and family to help a rural school with Educational facilities.

Galebindunuwewa Illupipukanniya Vidyalaya got their VERY FIRST COMPUTER for their school yesterday. It was a memorable moment. The children came to school to see their new computer and arranged a very special celebration for us to show their gratitude for the kind and thoughtful gesture.

Along with the brand new computer and speakers, there were more donations of library books and also a library cupboard to store all their reading books in their temporary library space. The 6 students who passed the grade 5 scholarship with flying colors this year were acknowledged for their performance during the gifting ceremony. (We will share more videos shortly. :))

It's a nice feeling that with your help, we all managed to at some level bridge the gap of technology for rural schools. These children do not have the luxuries that children of their same age do in the cities.

Thank you Shenal for wanting to give back to children's education for Sri Lanka on his birthday this year and picked their school. This would be a well-deserved stepping stone for their education for many more years to come. And you would be remembered.
